TPA Stream, a leader in healthcare benefits automation, today announced co-founder and CEO Jacob Sheridan will speak at the upcoming NAPBA conference, taking place June 23-26, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. The annual event, hosted by the National Association of Benefit Administrators, brings together third party administrators (TPAs) and other healthcare administration professionals and industry experts to discuss the latest on legislative and regulatory initiatives, share knowledge and innovation, and brainstorm strategies and opportunities around the changing landscape of healthcare benefits.

Mr. Sheridan will share his insights and expertise as part of the Valued Partners panel, taking place at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, June 25. The panel discussion will include an in depth look at how TPAs can properly evaluate partner resources to better create a competitive advantage, as well as examine where the industry is headed and how TPAs can stay relevant in the midst of deep market disruption. Fellow panelists include representatives from FSA Store and MyMedicalShopper.

“The healthcare industry is undergoing tremendous change, from how consumers seek out healthcare, to the ways providers offer treatment, to how employers and insurance companies assess value and reimburse services,” said Sheridan. “This requires TPAs to educate, inform and provide guidance through an increasingly complex benefits process. NAPBA is a great event for helping to untangle the latest challenges and opportunities available in the industry, and I’m excited to share some real-world stories of how successful TPAs are navigating these changes today.”

TPA Stream uses proprietary technology to streamline healthcare administration activities, helping to bridge the gap between disparate data sources and reduce both time and cost for TPAs. The company’s Explanation of Benefits (EOB) harvesting, consolidated billing and integration apps work together to simplify data collection, billing, reimbursement, reporting and other administrative tasks associated with benefits processing. TPA Stream works with over 150 insurance carriers and more than 60 TPAs, helping to reduce the time it takes to substantiate claims by 75%.
