Vice President of Sales

The Vice President of Sales will be responsible for developing, deploying and managing a multi-channel sales strategy for our SaaS product, which includes managing both direct and partner sales channels, guiding marketing efforts and, ultimately, delivering profitable and scalable revenues against an aggressive sales plan.  Essential functions of the job include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop and implement a balanced and appropriate sales process for our product offering; Manage the pipeline activity and health in Salesforce;
  • Own all execution until a team has been hired and trained, including the full sales process (calls, demos, etc.); 
  • Recruit, hire, retain and motivate a hungry and entrepreneurial team of sales professionals; 
  • Participate directly in the sales process, including lead generation, negotiation and closing, while guiding and assisting sales professionals to meet collective and individual revenue goals; 
  • Oversee development and reporting of sales forecast as well as performance metrics, communicating both on an ongoing basis; 
  • Attend trade conferences and other events to generate new sales opportunities and to position TPA Stream as an industry leader; 

Critical milestones and deliverables within the first 18 months:

  • Develop and gain buy-in on sales strategy, revenue forecast and plan w/critical milestones; 
  • Create and manage sales lifecycle management process that promises a scalable, repeatable and growing pipeline of business from lead to close; 
  • Recruit, hire, inspire and manage a growing team of sales professionals necessary to achieve and exceed sales projections; 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline; Master’s Degree or MBA a plus;
  • 8+ years of sales experience, with at least 4 in a management position; 
  • Experience managing new business, add-ons and renewals, direct and partner sales channels;
  • B2B software sales experience required; B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred;  
  • Knowledgeable in Employee Benefits with an effective working network strongly preferred;
  • A demonstrated track record of high performance in a growing, technology-driven field;
  • Successful experience launching and selling innovative technology solutions as a disruptor of the status quo is strongly preferred; 
  • Demonstrated background working in environments that operate with a sense of urgency, personal passion, adaptability and initiative; 
  • Must be comfortable making quick, but thoughtful, decisions based on ambiguous information and changing business assumptions in a dynamic market;
  • Impeccable communication, relationship building and presentation skills; 
  • Ability to travel as needed
